Objective:
Our lovely couple approached us with a unique and meaningful challenge for their special day: they wanted a bespoke welcome gift that would seamlessly blend into their modern-natural wedding venue while staying within a practical budget. They hoped the contents would embody warmth and sweetness for their guests, while also honoring a traditional family request to incorporate classic Chinese blessings and festive elements with a sense of heritage.
Approach:
To echo the venue’s palette of creamy off-white drapes and muted autumn-inspired florals, we leaned into organic textures for the packaging design. We selected a caramel-toned kraft paper with a rich tactile finish, wrapped in a cross style with a matching leather cord. For a personal touch, each box was topped with a custom black-and-white hand-drawn illustration card of the couple.
To complete the look, we added a deep plum-burgundy faux flower bud tied into the knot, creating a beautifully cohesive display across the welcome area. Inside the box, we balanced modern aesthetics with family tradition through a curated combination of “Xi Cha” (Auspicious Tea) and “Xi Tang” (Auspicious Sweets). A vibrant red-and-gold custom tea tin brought in a subtle nod to heritage, paired with recognizable premium treats like Ferrero Rocher, Hershey’s Dark Chocolate, and a mini jar of golden honey.
