Bringing the Vision to Life
From a Visual Idea to a Complete Sensory Experience
After understanding their vision, we decided to let the materials speak for themselves.
The exterior was designed using a light-absorbing black velvet cylindrical box. It barely reflects light and carries no excessive embellishment, yet naturally conveys a quiet sense of depth and presence.
To contrast the softness of the velvet, we paired it with a richly saturated burgundy-purple silk ribbon. Against the matte black texture, the purple became especially vivid, adding a subtle sense of drama and romance to the overall composition.
The real layering, however, revealed itself once the lid was opened.
Using “fragrance and home comfort” as the underlying theme, we built the interior around different shades of purple: a deep violet silk eye mask, a lavender-striped ceramic scented candle, an iris hand cream, and a delicate ring of preserved hydrangeas in pale lavender tones.
At the center sat a sculpted white plaster aroma stone. That restrained touch of white brought balance to the darker palette — mysterious, yet never heavy; refined, yet still gentle.
